Scenes from the long weekend

We had amazing weather here in Toronto this past long weekend. Hooray for long weekends!

We filled our days with walks in the neighbourhood, picnics in the park, sitting on the deck, yard work,getting caught up on sleep and getting the house in order.

Eventually we will get back to working on the basement but for now we feel like we are just getting our bearings for life with Davis. We finally feel a little organized and caught up.

Mothers Day

I enjoyed a wonderful first Mothers Day with Davis and Rob. Here we are just hanging out on the porch for the first time. Oh how the simple things bring such pleasure these days.

We are slowly getting into our groove. The truth is, as expected, sleep has been an issue over at our house. We have been trying a few different things to get some sleep and preferably at night. Of course as soon as something works, Davis goes ahead and changes again. Just part of the fun of parenting, I guess. Overall being a mother is such an enjoyable experience. I feel so lucky to spend my days and nights caring for this little guy.

And better late than never.......

A special thank you to our mothers. We get it now. Thank you for everything you do. We love and appreciate you so much!
